A favorite haunt of mine for over 30 years. Little changed.
It was in this room in 1981 that I asked archaeologist Colin Haselgrove if he thought he could handle me doing doctoral research with him - I had abandoned archaeology out of frustration, after my undergraduate days at Cambridge.
I eventually went back to Peterhouse, Cambridge in 1989.
